About

Emma Block is a London based illustrator whose work can be found in children’s books, packaging, magazines, greetings cards and books for adults. She also offers live illustration services (live portraits and window painting) and teaches watercolours and lettering. She graduated with First Class Honours in BA Illustration at Middlesex University. Her latest book, The Adventures of Miss Petitfour, is out now. She likes charity shops, tea and very sharp pencils.

Emma’s work is inspired by the people she meets in her everyday life, old photos, vintage clothes, old films, travel, 1950s illustration, 1930s jazz and sausage dogs.

She has worked for clients including Stylist Magazine, Reuters, Random House Canada, Bloomsbury, Harper Collins, TeNeues, Hardie Grant, UNIQLO, Orla Kiely, Anthropologie, Hand in Hand Soap, Mollie Makes, Time Out, Trader Joes, Hallmark and American Greetings.

She has also live illustrated at events and private parties for Oasis, Jigsaw, Reiss, Westfield, SisterMAG, Alpro and The Hoxton Hotel
