I love decorating the house (or the flat) and celebrating the seasons with traditions like painting eggs. I have collaborated with my friend Migle, who owns Your London Florist, to come up with a pretty Easter centrepiece. If you’re feeling creative and would like to make your own Easter nest, she has very kindly shared her tutorial:
To make the nest base you will need wire ring, moss, reel wire, pussy willows and twigs.
Entwine the moss around the metal ring and add branched twigs. Then entwine the pussy willow twigs around the circle to make a nest base.To give some colour to our twiggy nest we use spring bulbs and a selection of cut flowers such as bright yellow narcissus and paper whites. To keep them fresh you embed mini glass bottles filled with water, so you can keep changing the flowers on your wreath.Thank you Migle for sharing your tutorial! You can see more on the Your London Florist blog.
