If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook you’ve probably seen I’ve been doing a lot of work over the last few months for a company called Jolly Edition. Jolly Edition make beautiful bespoke, illustrated wedding invites. They started as a husband and wife team (Laura and Tom), which grew to include Elizabeth Graeber and myself earlier this year, and they will soon be re-launching as an agency with 12 illustrators on their books.
I have loved working with Jolly Edition; working as an illustrator from a home studio it’s really nice to feel part of a team, and Tom and Laura have been wonderful to work with. For me the very best part of doing wedding stationery is the feedback from happy couples. Being told by a happy customer that the work you’ve done for them is “Amazing and perfect and completely awesome!!!” is a great feeling.
Here are some of my favourite projects, though honestly I’ve loved them all. You can see all the work I have done with Jolly Edition here.
Mary and Michael were a lovely couple who swapped dancing and cake for cribbage and croquet in their laid back park wedding. They also wanted their gorgeous cat Quentin to feature on the rsvps. Isn’t he handsome?
Ryan and Robin wanted to keep the wedding dress a surprise so they went for an invite that showed the Colorado landscape and their nature loving, outdoorsy side.
Emily and Michael are a young couple having a magical barnyard wedding. Their lavender and stars theme was a wonderful to work with. I particularly love the wreath of lavender in Emily’s hair.
