Deck the Halls

I won’t actually be in my flat for Christmas, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t deserve a bit of festive magic. I don’t have a tree to decorate, but since the fireplace is the chosen portal of Father Christmas it seemed a good alternative. I made this pompom and stocking garland with some red wool, some red canvas and some white embroidery thread. I had a lot of fun making the pompoms whilst on the tube. christmaschristmas fireplaceI wrapped the presents with Ikea paper, then made gift tags using some brown luggage labels from the Post Office, some washi tape and some white ink.presents

I finished it all off with some gold baubles in the grate and some wooden and crocheted snowflakes. Et voila. snowflakeDSCF8897
