finding the 50s in London part 1

(This is very photo heavy post so I've done it in two parts.)

In my opnion the best way to find the 1950s in London is to head to the Fashion Textile Museum
on Bermondsey St. (nearest station London Bridge) and see their new
exhibition, Horrockses Fashions.

As you admire dozens of gorgeous 50s
dresses, the sound of The very Thought of You
playing softly in the background and the wooden seagull suspended from
the ceiling put you in the perfect mood and you can't help but smile.
What I found particularly interesting was the focus on the innovative
and quirky print design so crucial to Horrockses' sucess, which has
inspired to me design some repeating patterms myself. I also did a lot of sketching so expect some Horrockses illustrations soon.
