the height of fashion

I had to do a project representing a scale of ten things ranging from plain, to normal or magificent, and I chose French 18th century hair styles. They were insane; 3 feet of carefully coiffed hair above you head, laden with ribbons, jewels, feathers and maybe live butterflies or a miniture garden. Hair dressers carried ladders, doors were made taller and you would wear this ridiculous thing on your head for a whole week.

I did a set of 10 etchings and bound them into a book.
