When art imitates nature

A little while ago I was approached by Lisa Takao, creative director of Garden Bloomers Takao Nursery, and asked to create a flower inspired piece for her new catalogue, themed "Art imitates Nature". The previous year's have been beautiful (you can see them here) so of course I said yes. The baby pink veined surfinia was my inspiration, and I am one of a number of young artists contributing work. My artwork will take up one full page in the catalogue, with information about the flowers and a small picture of me holding the picture on the other page.
