Here’s the perfect DIY for a chilly day. I was going to use this little sausage dog as a door but he was so cute he ended up on the sofa.
- Start with an old and worn out jumper or cardigan. Cut of both the arms. One arm will form the body and the other will form the ear, legs and tail.
- Following the diagram below, keeping the two sides of the sleeve together, cut away a square of fabric from one arm to make the head and body. Again keeping the two sides of the sleeve together, cut the other sleeve into one long sausage shape for the tail, two small sausages for the legs and a ear shape.
- Sew together the two pieces of the tail, the legs, the ear and the body leaving a gap for the stuffing. Turn each piece inside out and stuff all of them except the for ear. If you want to use your sausage dog as a door stop add some lentils t give him some weight.
- Carefully hand sew on the ear, the little legs, the tail and sew up the hole in the dog’s body you put the stuffing in. Add details like a button nose, an embroidered eye and a ribbon bow tie. I also added some wire to the dog’s tail for extra wagginess.
- Enjoy!

Lovely!
